Susan is a fervent advocate for professionalism, excellence, certification, and court reporting. She channels this passion through her leadership as President of the American Association of Electronic Reporters and Transcribers (AAERT), where she actively promotes these values within the industry.

Merritt Gilbert

Merritt Gilbert, CER, CDR, FPM, is the director and lead instructor of digital court reporting and legal transcription at BlueLedge. She designs curricula for people who want to prepare for AAERT certification, as well as designs continuing education courses. She was trained to become a digital reporter. She then created and managed the digital court reporting department at the agency. Merritt is currently the chair of the Certification Committee and sits on the AAERT Board of Directors.
