How Applications Work
When you complete the application form, you will:

Choose whether you’re applying to be a transcriptionist, captioner, or subtitle translator.
Complete A Short Skills Assessment
You’ll demonstrate your English proficiency, grammar skills, and (if applicable) translation ability.
Submit A Sample
Complete a short transcription, caption, or translation sample to show you meet Rev’s quality standards.
Get Approved & Start Working
Begin earning right away. There is no minimum commitment. You choose when and how much you work.

I Applied and Haven’t Heard Back. What Should I Expect?
We’re currently reviewing a high volume of applications, which may extend response times. All applications are processed in the order received, and we’ll contact you by email once a decision has been made. Submitting multiple applications will not speed up the process.
How Much Can I Earn?
Your earnings will vary depending on the role you choose, the complexity of projects, and how many minutes you complete. Subtitle translators generally earn the highest per-minute rates, followed by captioners, then transcriptionists.
